About the Cemetery

Macedon public cemetery holds historic value for Australia, Victoria and the residents of Macedon Ranges. the monuments and flora contained withtin these grounds create a distinctive character in which aspects of the past can be readily experienced. Consequently, it is not only a resting place it is a site that provides significant links to the area’s rich cultural and social heritage.

People from all walks of life have been remembered .. from a Governer General of Australia to unknown Strangers.
