Set in a beautiful natural environment that features a variety of eucalypts in semi rural setting with wildflowers in the Spring. Macedon Cemetery is four and a half hectares of diverse monumental headstones and individual memorials in Denominational and All Creeds areas.
It contains historically valuable monuments, including the tomb of Lord Richard Casey, Governor General of Australia and Lady Casey. It also includes the resting place of Ellis Rowan, flower hunter and renowned artist.
The Trust ensures perpetual tenure of graves and maintenance of the grounds.
The cemetery provides a tranquil place of reflection for all visitors.
